Who we are.

The Golden Eagle Softball Association was established in 2021, in response to an urgent need for monetary support. We are a fully 501(c)(3)’d non-profit organization, composed of parents, teachers, alumni and community members who care about our student athletes.

We work directly with the coaches to ensure they have a safe and usable field, with access to quality equipment. The mental health of our student athletes is paramount, which is why we’ve partnered with the Del Oro mental health specialists, to provide weekly check-ins and visits with each of our players. We hold the mental strength of our athletes of equal importance to their physical capacity, if not more so.

We are so proud of our girls, as they lead the way in teenage mental health advocacy. Be sure to meet each of our amazing athletes below.

Thank you for your support!

MEET THE TEAM

Seniors

  • Abby

Hi! My name is Abby and I play on Firecrackers Leles Gold 18u. I am a Senior at Del Oro High School.

I will be attending Utah Tech University in the fall, where I will be continuing my academic and athletic career playing D1 softball.

I am an athletic power hitter who primarily plays center field. I enjoy using my speed, arm strength, and accuracy in my throws to stop any advancing runners. I am also a utility player, and can be moved around in any position my coaches need.

When I am not playing softball, I like spending time with my family and friends, and working out and enjoying the sunshine.

In college, I plan on focusing on a Sports Medicine/Nursing degree, so I can help others in the community.

  • Ava

Hi! My name is Ava. I play on USA Premier 18u, and am a senior at Del Oro High School.

I will be attending American International College in the fall, where I will be continuing my academic and athletic career playing D2 softball.

I am primarily a pitcher but have played positions all over the field. I also hit right-handed.

When I’m not at softball, I enjoy hiking, working out, and hanging out with friends and family.

In college, I’m going to major in criminal justice, in the hopes of becoming a detective one day.

  • Brooke

Hello! I’m Brooke, class of 2025. I am a hard worker and coachable player.

I am a senior at Del Oro High School and this will be my last softball season. My main position is third base but I can also play outfield.

Not only am I a hard worker on the field, but in the classroom as well. I have a 3.7 GPA and plan to get my nursing degree at a 4 year university, although I’m not yet decided on where.

I love talking with people and being active, as that will transfer well to my future job.

  • Delaney

Hi! My name is Delaney, and I play softball for All American Mizuno Gold 18u (Jackson), and am a senior at Del Oro High School.

In the fall, I will be attending Southern Illinois University, where I plan to continue my academic and athletic career playing D1 softball.

I am a versatile and athletic power hitter who primarily plays center field. I excel at using my speed arm strength, accuracy, and ability to cover ground all around the outfield. I am also a utility player and can adapt to any position in an instant.

When I’m not playing softball, I’m also playing basketball and flag football at Del Oro. I am an ASB officer and Black Hole Student Section Leader on my school campus, as well.

Outside of school and sports, I love to hang out with my friends, family, and play with my dogs.

In my future, I plan on learning more about law and possibly becoming an attorney, or FBI agent. I might even work towards getting my pilots license. The sky is the limit!

Juniors

  • Avery

Hi! My name is Avery, and I am third/second baseman, in the class of 2026.

I play for Firecrakers Leles 2026, under Head Coach Jenae Leles. This past summer, Line Drive Media ranked me the 95th, 2026 recruit, and the 46th best infielder.

I strive to achieve the highest level of performance that I can, in everything I do. This includes the classroom, where I have a 4.05 weighted GPA. I value hard work, effort, and energy and try to incorporate these into my everyday life.

  • Chloe

Chloe is a busy girl! More to come on this awesome left fielder soon!

  • Kate

Hi! My name is Kate, and I play catcher and some third base as well. I play for LTG Lions Carda, and spend a lot of time traveling with LTG, for our tournaments.

I’ve been playing softball since I was five years old and have fallen in love with the game ever since! I love getting to travel all around the country to play the sport I enjoy!

In my free time, I love hanging out with my friends, spending time with Jesus, playing my guitar, and shopping.

I plan to play softball in college and major in business, and hopefully later in life own my own hair salon and go to cosmetology school!
